The fun thing about having customers in our showroom is they get a chance to see new, unreleased bags, designs and ideas. This bag was named after a customer walked in, held it up and looked at the bag from every angle and said, ‘This is seriously an Epic bag!’ We loved the name so much it stuck. For DEFY it was an epic undertaking to develop this bag. We studied vintage French, German and Danish military bags. We studied bags on the market today. We took away what we didn’t like and added what did. We infused it with requests from the DEFY community. Requests like ‘Make a deeper work bag that I can use as a weekender.’ Or, ‘Make a travel bag that has a trolley strap on the back so when I’m running through the airport I don’t have to worry about it falling off my suitcase’. Epic takes all of these things and more into account.

We took our time with this one and battle tested it along the way. If you’re going to carry a work bag, make it an Epic American-Made one!

The Epic Ballistic Edition is Hand-Crafted in Chicago by DEFY’s small, dedicated team with a combined 40 years experience having sewn for such companies as Coach & Tumi. Now they’re part of the DEFY team! Speaking of Tumi, the Epic uses the same heavy duty, crazy durable Ballistic Nylon material those guys have used for years. We tested the material for months prior to launching and LOVE IT!
