For years, people have asked us: When will you make a full-leather Bucktown? We heard you. But we didnt just want to do itwe wanted to do it right. That meant more than covering the Bucktown in leather. It meant completely re-engineering one of our most iconic silhouettes using an entire hand-picked side of Horween’s exquisite Rookery leatheran ultra-premium, refined-yet-rugged hide made right here in Chicago, just like we are.

Crafting the Rookery Bucktown wasnt easy. In fact, it was one of the most demanding design challenges weve ever taken on. Every curved piece had to be skived by handthin enough to shape and flex, thick enough to hold and endure. Strategically placed XPAC reinforcements were precisely cut, bonded, and hidden within the buildadding strength where it matters most, without adding bulk or compromising elegance. Every structural detail was considered with longevity in mind.

We made the decision to construct the back panel from MIL-SPEC Ballistic Nylonnot just for comfort, but for performance. Its non-slip on the body, allows for airflow, and ensures theres zero chance of leather dye transfer onto clothing. Its one of many closely considered details that help this all-leather Bucktown stay true to its function while elevating its form.

The Rookery Bucktown is not mass-produced. It couldnt be. Each piece is built by hand in our Chicago workshop by people who obsess over every stitch, every seam, and every cut of leather. Bags of this caliber dont get made quickly. Or often. But when they do, they speak for themselves.
